Record the mill’s performance for next season
Shade consistency, claims and dates, per mill. Cloth is bought seasonally, and the record is what carries between seasons.
One row per order, per mill: the shade band agreed and the shade delivered, lot by lot, the metres and width invoiced against the metres and width measured, the test results against the grades ordered, every claim and how it was settled, and the date promised against the date the rolls arrived. Kept season to season, it is the difference between negotiating from memory and negotiating from evidence.
