Check the delivery against the contract
Conditioned weight, count, strength and evenness, then a trial; claim or accept.
Weigh the delivery at conditioned weight, the moisture regain the contract was settled on rather than the weighbridge figure, and test a cone from each lot for count, twist, strength and evenness against the contract’s own lines and the mill’s test report. Do it the week the lot arrives and before the trial on your own machines, because a claim depends on a test made in time: faults found in the trial are a claim, faults found in bulk production are your cost.
