Getting garments made, step 13 of 14
Final inspection by someone who works for you
An independent inspector checks the goods against the sealed sample and the agreed level before they leave.
NUMBER: AQLDOCUMENT: inspection report
Before the goods leave, an independent inspector, paid by you and reporting to you, checks the shipment against the sealed sample and the agreed AQL level (a sampling standard: how many faults in a drawn sample fail the lot; around 2.5 for major faults and 4.0 for minor is common in apparel). The office arranges the agency and you pay it directly, so the person deciding whether the goods ship is working for the only party who loses if they should not. If an inspection fails, it fails; the balance does not move.
